- The Czech Republic
- The Czech Republic is located in the centre of Europe. It is surrounded by Germany to the west, Poland to the north, Slovakia to the east and Austria to the south. It has a population of about 10 million people. The country can be divided into three historical regions: Bohemia (in the west), Moravia (in the east) and Silesia (in the north-east). The capital is Prague. The currency is the Czech crown. People speak Czech there. It is a member of the European Union.

- Moravian Slovakia is the easternmost part of the South Moravia Region (it lies on the borders with Slovakia and Austria). Slovakia is a fertile landscape of vineyards, fields of sunflowers and apricot orchards. This region is famous for its folk culture, unparalled in other regions of the country.
- The Town of Strážnice
- The first written report about the town dates back to 1302. From the old fortification only two entrance gates to the town have survived. The original water castle was rebuilt into a chateau. In the 16th century, it was among the biggest and most populated towns in Moravia.
- The Czech System of Education
- Education in our country includes these stages: pre-school, primary, secondary and tertiary. Pre-school education is provided by nursery schools for children aged 3 to 6. At the age of 6 children usually start to go to primary schools and stay there until they are 15.
- Purkyně Grammar School in Strážnice
- Purkyně Grammar School in Strážnice is a regional secondary school educating 11-19 year old students from the entire Hodonín District (1100 km). It offers an eight-year and a four-year course. The school community consists of 340 pupils and 28 teachers. In its current form it has a tradition of 117 years and is the oldest of its kind in the region.

- Czech-Swiss Student Exchange
- In the school year 2017–2018, a total of 18 pupils of classes kvinta and 2A went for an exchange week to Switzerland in November.
